Devoted to branding and building and protecting brands

For the past several months I've been telling anyone who'd listen that fortunes were made during some really lousy times.  Here's some material lending cred to my ravings.  The roll call of high-tech startups that started up during periods of negative GDP is stunning.  Makes you wonder if, someday, we'll be looking back on an outfit like Cloud Compliance as the oak tree that sprouted from the acorn of 2009.  Founder/CEO Robbie Forkish, btw, was on the 1983 founding team of Network Equipment Technologies (N.E.T.), which became the big dog in wide-area networking. If you recall, 1983 wasn't exactly a banner year economically.  Advice to entrepreneurs:  this is as good a time as any to go for it, dudes.  And dudettes.
