Tiger Woods owns Torrey Pines (see results of this weekend’s Buick Open).  And he owns a Buick or two.  Or five.  But as I watched him blow away the field today, and his pitches for a car that’s never been synonymous with hip, young, goateed jocks, I had to wonder what his endorsement does for the brand. Our research shows that the younger crowd isn’t wowed by celebrities hawking products, anyway.  Which may be Buick’s strategy: go for the 50-somethings who love Tiger and are ready for an American alternative that's not an Escalade. But, still, how many cars will you move?  What does Tiger do for Buick sales?

Aside from all that, can you believe what this guy does with golf clubs?
