Brand implications: Absolutely consistent with cult products. Bands like Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails and Prince have cult followings. Those people expect this. Fact is, entertainment seeks its own level. Content creators want an expressway to their audience. Fewer suits, happier consumers/audiences, bigger concert gates. Sounds like good branding to me. Shoulda been in this business. Yeah, right.
