
How politics mimics business, part 87: President George W. Bush continues to resemble a struggling company wondering why the hell sales are in the tank. He's stood stubbornly by one of his newer offerings, Alberto Gonzales, despite poor sales and grumbling dealers. In short, he's looking at his customers through the lens of his product, instead of seeing his offerings through the eyes of his customers. So now he's eating it. Sales suck, he's looking at another product recall, and shareholders have had it. Failed leadership: happens in business, happens in government -- especially when you don't see the world your customers/constituents are looking at.








Great analogy, it is true. There is a vision here that is not getting legs. He thinks we don't get it and we think he does not. Everybody is correct...
