The dude knows how to give his people reasons to buy.  Whatever you want to call it -- chasm-crossing, adoption cycling, product intro-ing, or hyped hoopla -- the iPhone "encounter" will put it all on display this weekend.  Good Morning Silicon Valley, still one of my favorites reads (even while I am here), breaks it down in yesterday's dispatch.   The guess here is that the iPhone will track the classic adoption cycle of early adopters, etc., but given the Cult of Steve, all will be accelerated.  Price be damned.  This looks like a gotta-have for the gotta-show types.  Disclaimer:  I'm not one.  I splurge on luxury hotels. Better value.
