
Will CourtTV follow this? Record label Apple in a slam-fest with that other Apple. In a classic made-for-Celebrity-Death-Match segment on TV, Monsters of brands go mano-a-mano in the courtroom over music rights. Imagine a Claymation Steve Jobs sticking an iPod into Paul McCartney's ear and having a celestial John Lennon swoop down and shove the guitar neck into Jobsie's, uh, watchpocket. You know, the one out of which he pulled the iPod when he announced the Nano? Wonder if Jobs would license this one for the "small" screen?
No surprises here: Business Week's fab-fifty has Apple (Computer) at the top o' the heap, along with everybody else noted for giving people reasons to buy. Surprise: Largest (20%) representation from technology/communications (Apple, Qualcomm,Motorola, Yahoo, Jabil Circuit, EMC, Cisco, Intel, EBay, Nvidia. Intense customer loyalty is what it's about -- and if you don't have this in your brand's DNA, you need a transplant.
